Austin Berecz's Eagle Project

Posted on Mar 28 2017 - 6:54am

On Sunday, March 26th, 21 Scouts and Adults completed the installation of 16 steps into Tesoro High School's Nature Garden. The steps will help prevent erosion from occurring, and will help aid in the mobility of the area. We leveled out the dirt where the steps were going to be placed, then we drove 3 pieces of rebar into the ground through the wood, and finally we backfilled the steps with rocks in order to help with drainage. We started at 8 am, and thanks to an amazing group of volunteers we were able to finish ahead of schedule at 12:30 pm just in time for lunch.

I would like to thank Mr. Tubbs from Tesoro High School for giving me this opportunity to complete my Eagle Project. I would also like to thank Mr. Ouellette, Mr. Van Ry, Dr. Earl, and Mr. Weis for guiding me through the process of planning and completing my Eagle Project.  One final thank you to all of the volunteers that helped on the day of the project. - Austin Berecz

James Wildrick's Eagle Project

Posted on Mar 30 2016 - 5:08pm

On March 19, 2016 James Wildrick completed his Eagle project.  The project was at Trabuco Presbyterian Church and participants constructed a regulation sized volleyball court on their field.  It was a lot of fun and all of the help from fellow scouts and friends was appreciated. James would like to especially thank his parents, and his Eagle coaches Mr. Weis and Mr. Shyp, who were all instrumental in helping him prepare as well as getting the projected completed.  Thanks to  Mr. DeBarard for providing James with this opportunity and his help.

Yousuf Rajput's Eagle Project

Posted on Feb 24 2016 - 7:27am

On Saturday, February 20, 2016, Yousuf Rajput had his Eagle Project in Mission Viejo on the intersection of Trabuco Rd. and Los Alisos Blvd. We planted around 600 drought-tolerant plants on two plots of land. Other than getting around some tree roots and rocks, the project went smoothly and efficiently, as many competed to see who could plant the most. On a day with fairly good weather, this project was a great experience. Thank you to all who came out to help and made the project run smoothly.
